JOB SUMMARY Perform work of routine difficulty in the preparation/processing and maintenance of personnel information.
This position is a working/journey position that works under general supervision.

TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Administer and score selection examinations.
Audit personnel action forms and departmental time sheets.
Compile and maintain records for use in employee benefits administration.
Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports.
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons.
Prepare and file reports of accidents and injuries at establishment.
Prepare and maintain required reports.
Process employment applications and assist in other recruitment and selection activities.
Record employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred
Qualifications:
One (1) year of clerical or human resources experience preferred.
Valid Arizona State Driver's License.
Supplemental Information Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of type of occupations found in public entities.
Knowledge of staff research work and report writing.
Knowledge of interviewing techniques.
Knowledge of Business English and bookkeeping and accounting methods.
Knowledge of state and Federal labor laws and regulations.
Knowledge office practices and procedures.
Skill in analyzing computation and statistical information.
Skill in operating office equipment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
The work also requires the ability to finger, grasp, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
