An individual in this position operates a computer aided terminal to dispatch resources and information using radio and telecommunication equipment.
Constantly searches and updates multiple databases with speed and accuracy to full public safety operations.
Makes inquiries into driver's license and motor vehicle information as requested.
Checks the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) for updates regarding missing/endangered people or other criminal activity.
Performs other clerical and administrative duties.
Work is performed in a 24/7-day office environment that involves sitting for extended periods of time.
Conditions include stable shift schedule which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job duties require the ability to react quickly under stressful work conditions and during emergency situations.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED.
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License.
Demonstrates the ability to type accurately at a rate of approximately 40 wpm.
Must be able to obtain Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) certification within six (6) from date of hire.
