Arizona PRN has been selected by a Tucson, AZ correctional facility to screen and recruit talented nurses for day and night shift per diem or block book assignments. As a Correctional Facility Registered Nurse, you'll:
Provide direct care to assigned inmate patients, which includes facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.
Collaborate with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care.
Coordinate and/or administer medication, therapeutic agents and treatments,
Provide emergency first aid care when needed.
Obtains specimens from inmate patients for diagnostic testing.
Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates emotional or physical condition.
Provide inmate patient education and/or discharge planning.
Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
