HR Manager

TheHR Managerreports to the Director, Human Resources.  This person serves as consultant/partner to both the senior leaders and management teams for an assignedlocation on Human Resources-related matters, with the goal of aligning bestHR practices to business strategies. TheHR Manager will collaborate with Shared Services departments to deliver solutions that address assigned companies' needs. He/She will also collaborate with the Senior Director,HR Operations and otherHR Managers onHR projects and initiatives asrequired.  The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job. TheHR Manager will:  Work with clients to strategically plan, organize, direct, implement, evaluate, and manage the assigned operating companies' human resources needs and assume client facing duties to work directly with senior AGS leadership.  Work closely with senior leaders and managers to provide expertise and hands on support in multiple areas including: workforce planning, on boarding, phase ins/phase outs, employee retention, employee relations, management coaching, performance management, terminations, and change management. Manage, recommend and implement remedies on mid-level to complex employee relations issues working closely with the Manager, Employee Relations and through the Senior HR Manager. Maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations while meeting contractual requirements and obligations. Respond to employee and customer questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of AGS policies and procedures. Conduct exit interviews and distributes results accordingly. Prepare termination documents in support of involuntary terminations; gather and prepare all documentation needed Facilitate on-boarding/orientation and employee relations training programs as required. Provides active leadership in support of recruiting and employment activities; works within Taleo to submit requisitions and assist new hires with onboarding activities. Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management for coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. Refer to disciplinary matrix and CBA to determine appropriate disciplinary levels/actions... Submit, Review and/or Approve Personnel Action Notices. Coordination with Leave department on any FMLA and LOA request. Design and run queries and prepare various reports as requested by management. Provide current and prospective employees with information about company policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits. Engage with shared service department teams (Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Recruiting, Payroll, Compliance, HR Operations, Legal, and Labor Relations) to execute business strategies through tactical operations. Develops and maintains customer relationships through daily interaction and frequent communication. All other duties as assigned by the Senior, HR Manager or Senior, Director, HR Operations Occasional travel may be required (less than 15%) Qualifications   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, sociology/psychology or public/business administration or related area  Minimum of 5 years progressively responsibleHRexperience as a HR Business Partners or HR Manager; Minimum of 3 years working in a union environment; strong understanding of CBAs  Minimum of 3 years Federal government contracting industry experience Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws, to include both federal and state regulations. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentations; ability to speak confidently and effectively to varied audiences; proven professional writing ability, strong grammar and editing skills; Demonstrated experience in providing hands-on HR Manager Support for diverse employee populations of at least 400+ employees. Confidentiality, integrity and authenticity DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
