4th - 8th Grade Special Education Teacher -Resource

Teaches elementary or secondary subjects to students in public or private elementary or secondary schools by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assisting in the placement of IEP students
Assisting in the scheduling of meetings of the child study team
Instructs students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations.
Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school in accordance with the individual IEP.
Assigns lessons and corrects homework.
Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress.
Keeps attendance records.
Maintains discipline in classroom.
Meets with parents to discuss student progress and problems.
Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
Performs related duties such as sponsoring one or more activities or student organizations, assisting pupils in selecting course of study, and counseling student in adjustment and academic problems.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. One to two years related experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be highly qualified in area of assignment. Valid AZ Special Education teaching certificate with appropriate approved area or endorsement.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
